An exceptional location run by special people; a team with a «desire for more»; an outdoor kitchen reduced to the essentials: The editorial staff of Transhelvetica and Feuerring provided the ideal platform for Chris Züger and his team from Lust auf mehr GmbH during FOOD Zurich 2018.
At the FOOD Festival in Zurich, the old Letten railway station was transformed into a particularly blazing pop-up restaurant. Guests sat under the long platform roof with a direct view of the spectacular Feuerring kitchen. Master chef Chris Züger and his team from Lust auf Mehr GmbH served four courses from four language regions during the Tavolata.
Not only the setting was special, but also the kitchen. Because Chris Züger only works with original Feuerring grills, the patented invention of the steel sculptor and designer Andreas Reichlin, which in the meantime have completely revolutionised the grill market. On the Feuerring grills you can prepare anything from smoked risotto to mountain beef cooked in hay or cabbage that will make every gourmet’s mouth water. Anyone who has seen Chris prepare polenta on the Feuerring knows that just watching him cook is well worth a visit.
Outdoor kitchens at events are always a special kind of catering experience, because as a chef you are usually alone in the kitchen surrounded by your team. It is both fun and inspiring to directly experience the joy and appreciation which guests show at a Feuerring event. Guests appreciate the transparency of preparing menus right in front of their eyes. It is not without reason that there are more and more concepts that allow guests into the kitchen to participate in culinary explorations. The Feuerring invites the chef and the guests into the garden kitchen in its most reduced form: A cooking experience that demonstrates new dimensions of barbecuing on the Feuerring grills - simple, healthy, genuine and delicious.
